Distance from Chişinău : 232 km Right at the entrance to the village Naslavcea, you can notice a steep slope, which virtually reminds us, somehow, a honeycomb. The mountaineering lovers can also enjoy steep slopes and cliffs that go up to 45 degrees. From the top of the slope, above the village Naslavcea, opens a breathtaking view to the island, located right next to the meander of the Nistru river. The forested island entices the passers-by’s interest like a magnet. Earlier, the beauty of these places got recorded on cameras, while filming movies on the territory. These natural landscapes, with an area of 153 hectares, are under state protection since 1998. A narrow path goes down to the Nistru river. A portion of the road was dug through the tunnel, and the other - along the wall, practically vertical and steeply to a height of about 40 m above the river. A significant feature of the slope is represented by the picturesque boulders of tortonian and sarmatian limestone, wooded with small trees, shrubs and with a coating of herbs. Traveling along this slope is a rather difficult task because, it is very steep and sometimes even impossible without a special climbing equipment. The lower side of the village is situated directly in this valley. This is a truly impressive sight. Once you visit this place, you will always want to go back, to discover something new and unknown. We , the CASA MARE team, will certainly return to these regions and will tell you more about the attractions of these charming places.
