DESCRIPTION

Distance from Chișinău: 234 km Location: Edineț Estimated time: 3 hours The Feteşti Landscape Reservation is located between two villages - Trinca and Feteşti. To get there, we have to walk a few kilometers through a forest with a whimsical relief, that will lead us to its peripheries, where you can find an enormous oak with two big stems, whose height exceeds 30 meters. The reservation is of a small, 564 hectares area. Only one part of the reservation is located on a flat terrain, while the steep slopes and steep rows of rocky substrates create the overall image of the reservation. The vegetation in this area is very rich, comprising a total of about 160 species of plants, among which 15 species are represented by trees and shrubs. The oak trees are perdominating in the area. Depending on the weather, in favorable climatic conditions, flowers and herbs of a special splendor may appear. The natural area includes, on rocky slopes, a hornbeam forest of different ages. There are oak, ash, cherry, hazel and hawthorn species of trees. The rocks sector - unique to the north. Just across the river, in the vicinity of the bridge, there is a rock, from the upper side of which you can clearly see a wide glade. This is the point from which we can see the wonderful landscape which determined the locals to call this place "The little Switzerland of Moldova". The Draghişte riverbed follows the winding course and offers a relaxing charm. We hope that, while describing these overwhelming areas, we have motivated you to take a break with your family, loved ones and, of course, children - to let them enjoy the beauties of northern Moldova. On your way from the Feteşti to the Burlănești villages, youcan notice another natural monument -  the "Rock of the grandfather". However, if you walk along the river Draghişte, then over just a few kilometers, you can reach the narrow path of Burlănești, and then the Buzdugeni and Brînzeni ones. And in their vicinity, near the village Gordineşti is another unique natural monument – the narrow path of the "Castle" forestry.
