Dragobete is a traditional Romanian holiday celebrated on February 24. Dragobete was the son of Baba Dochia, which stands for the main character in the pagan myth related to spring arrival and the end of the harsh winter. Due to his endless kindness he was chosen – according to some sources, by Virgin Mary – to be the Guardian of Love.

Children's Day is recognized on various days in many places around the world to honor children globally. It was first proclaimed by the World Conference for the Well-being of Children in 1925 and then established universally in 1954 to protect an "appropriate" day. The International Day for Protection of Children is observed in many countries as Children's Day on June 1 since 1950. It was established by the Women's International Democratic Federation on its congress in Moscow (22 November 1949)

Independence Day (Romanian: Ziua Independenței) is the national day of Moldova commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence from the Soviet Union on 27 August 1991. Being a public holiday its a free day for most of the people and employees, also most retail businesses and public institutions are closed on 27 August (Independence Day) and New Year's Day, but remain open on all other holidays.

Limba Noastra (Our Language) – is the National Holiday of Moldovan language. On this festive day in the country are numerous exhibitions, festivals, concerts and other celebration. Evening at the Great National Assembly Square is held a concert where take part popular musicians, entertainers and artists.

The Republic of Moldova holds the prestigious sixth place in Europe regarding the area of vineryards, about 10% of arable land being cultivated with vineyards. The winemarkers from the country provide over 7 percent of Moldovan exports, employing a total number of about 300 thousand people. 

Chisinau City Day, or Hramul Chisinaului, is a Russian Orthodox religious festival commemorating The Intercession of the Holy Virgin. It is celebrated on October 14th each year. In celebrate of the feast, the main street of city, Stefan cel Mare Blvd, is closed to traffic and instead plays host to a huge open air festival.
